About me...In 2006, I made a promise to myself to pursue my art, and that's when "Illustrated Ink" was born. I quit my day job, and picked up my paintbrushes. I've always been passionate about creating art, but had never allowed myself to be fully dedicated to it. Finally, I decided to take the leap...I first discovered "Dia de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) during the time I lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I fell in love with Mexico's vibrant colors and life. They have such a comfortable, accepting relationship with death-which is very unlike our American culture. I strive to bring that feel and passion for color to my work. My art is also heavily influenced by my love of traditional tattoo design. It's full of vivid color as well, and a boldness that I find wonderful. I'm a full time artist, and I feel very blessed to be living my dream of creating art everyday. I reside in Austin, TX with my sweetheart, two cats, and a Corgi.
