This original painting was inspired by traditional tattoo design, Mexican folk art, and Day of the Dead. For people in Mexico, Monarch butterflies hold a special place in their traditions. Monarchs represent the souls of their ancestors returning to visit them for "Día de los Muertos". Hand painted in acrylics on a 15.5" x 11.5" wood palette. Signed on the back by the artist (me) and matte sealed for protection. Can be displayed on an easel or propped up. This vibrant piece is one-of-a-kind!
