Size: 5 x 7 inches

This Day of the Dead possum was inspired by a mix of Mexican folk art and old school tattoo design. In Central America and parts of South America, the opossum is portrayed in mythology and folk lore. Opossum occasionally plays the role of a trickster or an animal hero who escapes from danger by using his wits. My favorite myth, is his role as the "fire-bringer", where he brings fire from the gods to man (supposedly opossums have no hair on their tails, because fire singed it off long ago).

This is a reproduction of my original art. You can choose a print that measures 5" x 7", 8" x 10", or 11" x 14". Signed on the back by the artist, and ready to slip into a standard sized frame! The watermark logo will not appear on your print.
